Our Flagship Diagnostic test – ASDproteinpatterntm

The ASDproteinpattern blood test is a pioneering tool for the screening of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

It analyses patterns of naturally occurring (endogenous) modifications in blood proteins, interpreted through an artificial intelligence (AI)–driven diagnostic algorithm that identifies the most predictive biomarker combinations and their optimal weighting.

In clinical validation studies, it is the first test to meet the American Psychiatric Association’s benchmark of 80% sensitivity and 80% specificity for autism screening.

What we do

We specialize in the measurement of protein modifications in blood that are linked to autism spectrum disorder. Specifically, modifications by sugars and oxidations reflecting disturbances in metabolism. Crucially, these modified proteins formed in the brain leak out into blood, providing for easy measurement of biomarkers or signals of brain function in a simple blood sample. This approach has not been used in autism diagnosis before and is high accuracy.

Our research has led to the development of the ASDproteinpattern test – a first-of-its-kind blood-based screening tool for autism. Our patented approach detects changes in protein modifications that reflect the presence of ASD.
